A letter from MISD Board President to the parents and staff on Wednesday, October 4, 2023:

Dear Montgomery ISD Community,

I wanted to provide you with an update on the Montgomery ISD superintendent search.

Yesterday, David Thompson and Mike Moses from Thompson and Horton, our superintendent search firm, met with approximately 75 individuals from across our community to gather input and feedback on characteristics they would like to see in our next permanent leader. The individuals who provided input included parents, teachers, students, administrators, business leaders, faith-based leaders, elected officials and community members. The conversations also touched on what these individuals believe to be the strengths and challenges in our community. The search firm will use this input and feedback to match the skills, background, and experience of potential candidates for the next Montgomery ISD superintendent.

The Montgomery ISD Board of Trustees wanted to provide the entire community with an opportunity to provide input as we conduct our search. The input you provide will be reviewed by the board as we identify candidates to interview for the position. You can do this via a survey here through Wednesday, Oct. 11: https://forms.office.com/r/ar2dgzwicE

As a reminder, the Board of Trustees will begin conducting interviews in November and is targeting selecting a superintendent to be in place in January 2024.
