"Education with a Purpose"
Career and Technical Education (CTE) in Montgomery ISD embraces quality instruction opportunities and experiences to prepare all students for the challenges of post secondary education, a globally competitive workplace and active citizenship. We provide students with various avenues to develop an individual pathway for academic and career-oriented instruction.
Montgomery's High School's Program is a great way for students to prepare for the highly technological and competitive workplace of the 21st Century. Students receive the maximum benefits from their electives by using those courses to focus on career pathways. CTE students also benefit from the program's partnerships with area businesses though the CTE Business Advisory Committee. The committee provides students the opportunity to spend time in relevant, work-based learning programs as paid and unpaid interns. CTE provides dynamic courses taught by instructors who stay abreast of current business and industry trends, as well as hands-on learning through professionals working in each field.

Career Technical Education is to provide a Career and Technical environment that will enable all students to develop career and technical skills for a lifetime of career success. Career Pathways are designed to help students (and their parents) make wise education choices. It is based on the belief that the curricula of the 21st century should combine rigorous academics with relevant career education. When we integrate academic and technical education, students can see the "usefulness" of what they are learning. This will allow a seamless transition from secondary to postsecondary opportunities.
