Back to School Message from Montgomery ISD Police Department

As we prepare to begin the 2024-2025 school year, please anticipate increased traffic during arrival and dismissal times near all Montgomery ISD campuses. We would like to ask for patience as we see traffic patterns disrupted, and parking lots and nearby streets become congested.

To address these challenges, our MISD police officers will be working traffic as families navigate car rider lines and buses transport kids to and from school, and the MISD Police Department is collaborating with local law enforcement to place resources around campuses and throughout the district.

We ask for your cooperation in the following ways:

• Be Patient: Allow extra time and work with campus staff and officers.

• Be Kind: Show courtesy to others on the road who share the same goal of a smooth drop-off or pick-up.

Be Alert: Please do not talk or text while driving in school zones.

Be Prepared for Delays: Plan ahead, adjust your schedule, and organize your drop-off and pick-up process to be efficient.

Our goal is to ensure the safety of all students while managing the traffic effectively. We are thankful for your patience, kindness and understanding during this time and are looking forward to a wonderful 2024-2025 school year.
