In Montgomery ISD our goal is to provide child-centered early childhood programs that establish a foundation for future success and foster a lifelong love for learning. We purposefully plan activities that will help a child:
-Increase their individual academic potential
-Develop vocabulary and language proficiency
-Cultivate competence in fine arts and motor development
-Expand social and emotional development
-Become future ready
Children are "ready" for school when families, schools and communities work together to ensure they enter school with strong foundational knowledge and skills across five primary domains of development. Although separate, these domains are interconnected and development in one area reinforces development in the other. The primary domains of development are:
-Physical- Gross and Fine Motor
-Literacy- Reading and Writing
-Mathematical- Concepts and Thinking
-Language and Communication
-Health and Wellness
