The Pathway to Premier

Every journey begins with an authentic understanding of where you are to identify the path needed to arrive at your desired destination. Montgomery ISD's desired destination is to be recognized as The Premier School District in Texas

During the 2020-2021 school year, the Montgomery ISD Board of Trustees adopted five district goals representing our targets to reach Premier. The district goals are: 1. Academic Achievement; 2. School Safety; 3. Finance and Operations; 4. Human Capital; and 5. Communications and Customer Service.

After the Board adopted the district goals, a strategic plan task force committee comprised of district staff, parents, students, and community members was formed. Input and information collected through a communitywide survey, three town hall meetings, and several task force committee meetings empowered the district to develop a new strategic plan that authentically represents the diverse voices in our community. In June 2021, the Montgomery ISD Board of Trustees adopted the Pathway to Premier Strategic Plan.

The Pathway to Premier is not just a vision but a detailed plan with measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) and a series of initiatives and strategies. These are the tools the district will use to reach the targets set in the KPIs. The plan is a commitment to improving academic outcomes for all students, ensuring safe school environments for productive academic instruction, maintaining fiscal transparency and responsibility, providing world-class educational tools and facilities, fostering a high-quality workforce, and promoting clear and consistent communication with parents, staff, and stakeholders.

Our Mission

Montgomery ISD, in partnership with families and the community, will graduate all students with the knowledge, skills and leadership necessary to thrive as productive and responsible citizens.

Our Vision

All students in Montgomery ISD will receive a premiere education, empowering them to reach their full potential, prepared for future success.
