 Kindergarten provides your child with an opportunity to learn and practice the essential social, emotional, problem-solving and study skills that they will use throughout their education. Quality early childhood education helps children build self-confidence and acquire problem-solving skills. 

Montgomery ISD's Kindergarten program makes a big difference for small children. Students who attend Kindergarten in MISD acquire skills that promote the development of successful, confident learners.

Each Kindergarten classroom in MISD is taught by an early childhood certified teacher.

Students learn: 

-Age appropriate academic skills

-To follow directions

-To take turns

-To follow daily routines and attending to tasks

-Vocabulary development

-How to ask and respond appropriately to questions

-Relationship building
