Sid Chacon has been named MISD’s new Director of Maintenance.
Mr. Chacon brings to MISD more than two decades of experience in maintenance and facilities. Most recently, Chacon served Conroe ISD as Administrative Maintenance Coordinator of Compliance, acting as the primary liaison with the Fire Marshals and other regulatory agencies and managing operations to ensure facilities are safe, secure, code compliant and fully functional in instructional continuity.
“Sid is process-oriented, and brings a wealth of experience with technology integration, including developing systems to track preventive maintenance for the district's equipment and digitizing inspections, insurance claims and door audit reports,” Chief of Operations Brad Mansfield said. “He is also committed to building relationships with all staff members. I am confident his knowledge, experience and interpersonal skills will help our maintenance team ensure a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment for all students to thrive socially and academically. “
