Parent Information

Hello MISD Parents,

The MISD Transportation Department has been working diligently to prepare the bus routes for the 2023-2024 school year, and we are excited to release this information to you.  We will again utilize the Traversa RIDE 360 routing system this school year.

The Traversa RIDE 360 website and cell phone app allows parents to confidentially access their child’s school bus number, drop off and pick up locations and times. Traversa Ride 360 also provides the Transportation Department with the ability to alert parents about weather delays, school cancelations and if the school bus is running late.

To access the Traversa Ride 360 mobile application:

  1. Download the “Traversa Ride 360” app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
  2. When prompted enter the school district “Montgomery ISD”.
  3. You will need to “Register” to use the app by entering an email address and creating a password along with your name.
  4. You will receive a confirmation email to the email address you entered. Confirm your registration through that email and you are now ready to use the Ride 360 app.
  5. Log in to Ride 360 and link your student by using the + student icon in the upper right hand part of the screen. You will need two unique identifiers:
    • Student ID# (including leading zeros) (ex: 012345) and
    • That student’s birthdate (including leading zeros and include the slashes ex. 03/05/2006)
  1. Repeat step 5 for additional students.
  2. Once you have linked your student in the app, you can click on that student to see their transportation information.
  3. Regularly check for updates as transportation information can change as more students are registered and added to our bus routes. Routes are always subject to change based on the number of students enrolled in each school and transportation zone. We ask that you remain patient with us as we work hard to make sure that every student is assigned to a stop and route as quickly as possible.

Also this year, MISD Transportation will utilize the SMART tag system to monitor student loading and unloading with real-time information provided to parents and the MISD Transportation department.

Each MISD bus will be equipped with a SMART Tag tablet with an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Device) reader, mobile connectivity, and GPS. Bus riders will place their student ID cards on the sensor of the computer tablet when loading and unloading their bus. More information about the SMART tag system and features that will be helpful to families will be shared over the coming weeks.

Sincerely,

MISD Transportation
