Student Accounts
How can I make payments to my child's account? Payments can be made at your student's campus with cash or check, or online at MySchoolBucks.com.
How do I request a refund or transfer from my student's account? Student account transfers and refund requests require a form to be filled out. This online form can be found here.
What happens to money left in my child's account at the end of the school year? If your child has money left in their account at the end of the school year, the balance will automatically carry over and be available on the first day of the school of the following year. This applies whether your child stays at the same campus or is at another Montgomery ISD school. Families also have the option to donate unused funds to the Plate it Forward Donation Fund, which helps pay off student meal debt for those with negative balances.
If your child is graduating or leaving Montgomery ISD, you can request a transfer, contribution, or refund of remaining funds by completing the transfer/contribute/refund form found here.
Who do I contact for MySchoolBucks issues? Some issues may be resolved at the ESC by calling 936-276-2600. Issues that cannot be resolved at the ESC will be directed to contact the MySchoolBucks hotline number: 855-832-5226.
Can I put restrictions on my child's account? Yes, you may apply restrictions to your student's account by contacting the campus manager, contacting the ESC at 936-276-2600, or emailing [email protected].
My child needs a dietary restriction placed on their account, how do I get this added to their account? If your child needs a dietary restriction, the Food Allergy/Disability Substitution Request form needs to be filled out and signed by a licensed physician and turned in to your campus nurse. If you have specific menu questions, you can reach out to our Assistant Director, [email protected].
Student Meals
Montgomery ISD participates in “offer versus serve” which means we offer students a variety of choices daily.
What is my child required to take at breakfast? The School Breakfast Program (SBP) guidelines require that we offer three different food components daily (grains, fruit and milk). In order for a breakfast to qualify as a full meal, students must choose at least three items and one of these must be a fruit or a juice. Menus are found online at: Campus Menus.
What is my child required to take at lunch? The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) guidelines require that we offer five different food components daily (meat or meat alternate, grain, fruit, vegetable and milk). In order for a lunch to qualify as a full meal, students must choose at least three of these food components and one of these three must be a fruit or a vegetable. Menus are found online at: Campus Menus.
Free and Reduced Meals
Who can get free or reduced-price meals? All children in households receiving benefits from SNAP, FDPIR, or TANF, are eligible for free meals. Households receiving Medicaid benefits may be eligible for free or reduced meals. Foster children that are under the legal responsibility of a foster care agency or court are eligible for free meals. Children who meet the definition of homeless, runaway, or migrant are eligible for free meals. Children may receive free or reduced price meals if your household’s income is within the limits on the Federal income Eligibility Guidelines.
Where can I apply? You are encouraged to apply online here: Free and Reduced Meal Application, or you can request an application at any campus or ESC building. Applications are available in the front office of your child's campus, or at the ESC building at 20774 Eva St. Montgomery, TX 77316.
