During the 2021-22 school year schools could offer meals at no cost to all students as a result of temporary program flexibilities provided by the federal government in response to the pandemic. These flexibilities have expired, and the U.S. Congress did not continue the funding needed to allow schools to serve free meals to all students in the 2022-2023 school year. Therefore, Montgomery ISD Child Nutrition must transition back to meal programs offered prior to the 2021-22 school year.

IMPORTANT: This year, parents must fill out an application for free and reduced meals. Online free and reduced applications will be available online beginning July 18, 2022 at www.misd.org.  Paper applications will also be distributed by mail.
