Community Task Force

The Community Bond Task Force was comprised of parents and staff members from each MISD campus, district leaders, community members, business owners and students. The committee met six times through the fall of 2021 to evaluate data on district facilities, growth projections and the MISD Pathway to Premier Strategic Plan in an effort to create a bond proposal that would benefit all students throughout Montgomery ISD.

After just two meetings, the task force agreed that a bond was necessary to address the rapid enrollment growth in the district as well as the aging facilities and campuses in need of improvements. The challenge was to then use the data and create a fiscally sound bond proposal that would align with district goals and strategies.

All meeting presentations and minutes, as well as the assessments used by the task force to gather the needed information can be found through the tabs on this webpage. The committee presented their bond proposal to the MISD Board of Trustees at that January 2022 board meeting.
