Principal - Jada Mullins

I am so thrilled to be the Principal of the one and only 5th grade campus in MISD! This is a great age of students to work with, and we have the pleasure of seeing them do many things for the first time. I hope to see each of our students become leaders in their own individual ways while at MIS and that they feel encouraged and supported throughout their 5th grade year.

Having been in MISD for my entire 15 year career, I have seen wonderful things happen here and am proud to be part of this growing community and top-notch school district. You have chosen the right place for your child, and I hope that we meet every expectation you have for them during their 5th grade year. Our door is always open, and we encourage you to come up and make memories with us…at MIS, where 5th graders are our Specialty!

Assistant Principal - Mallory Kirby

It is truly an honor to be the assistant principal at Montgomery Intermediate, the one and only 5th grade campus in MISD! I am so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful faculty and staff.

Five years ago when I started teaching at MIS, I knew this was the community and district where I wanted to achieve my career goals. Every year has gotten better! The students, parents, and community are truly amazing. My husband Trey always told me that once you get to Montgomery, his hometown, you won’t want to leave. These words always stuck with me, and I have to admit he was right again!

Being at Montgomery Intermediate, my goal is to provide a fun, safe learning environment for all of our students and staff. I am going to help continue to build upon the effective leadership team we share among us at MIS. I am looking forward to working with all of you and making 5th grade our specialty!

Counselor - Kim Wunderlich

I am so happy and proud to be serving as your child’s school counselor while they are with us at Montgomery Intermediate School. I have found the atmosphere of this campus to be warm, friendly and inviting and that is because the entire team works hard at jobs they love and you can feel the positive energy when you walk in the door. I love my job, my colleagues, the students I have the privilege to work with, and the parents who allow this team to work with their most precious possession—their child.

The 5th grade year is full of change. Our student’s face wonderful changes developmentally, emotionally, and of course, physically. What an exciting time! I believe every child has the capacity within themselves to embrace these changes and navigate any challenges which they may encounter. I use a child-centered approach to counseling which allows a student to work through a challenge in their own way and at their own pace.

Please feel free to contact me anytime, and let your student know that my door is always open. All they need to do is ask to come see me.
