The mission of the Montgomery ISD Library Program is to ensure that students and staff are lifelong learners who can access, evaluate, and use information in both print and digital forms, as well as engage in reading for discovery and personal enjoyment. Our goal is to teach, inspire, and motivate all students to excel and empower them with the skills, content knowledge and expertise needed for this 21st century media culture.
Accelerated Reader helps focus attention on careful reading of books, which improves students' critical-thinking skills and builds the intrinsic love of reading.
