Student Council Fundraiser Turns Parking Spots into Works of Art

Student workThis year, Montgomery High School’s Student Council hosted a fundraiser for personalizing parking spots. Approximately 85 students and staff designed and painted their parking spots for a small fee of only $25. The funds raised will go towards something special for the student section at various events and games and will be revealed at a future home football game.
Student Council Sponsor Laurie Zuehlke says, “Very few high school students utilize lockers so the closest thing to 'personal space' they have at school is their parking spot. Looking at the spaces is like driving through an art gallery, each one reflecting the personalities, talents, and passions of the students who designed and painted them.”
