GRADUATION:  Saturday, June 7 at 2:30 p.m. at Reed Arena on the campus of Texas A & M University.  All graduates must be at the site no later than 1:30 p.m. for line-up and final instructions.  A charter bus is being provided for those seniors who will need transportation.  To reserve a seat on the bus, a completed transportation form must be signed and returned to the office no later than Friday, May 30.

Graduation is a formal ceremony and we are guests of Reed Arena and are expected to respect their property.  During the graduation exercises, mature conduct is expected.
Seating is on a first come basis.  No tickets are issued, as there is ample space available in the Arena.  The entrances that will be open to attend graduation are the East, the Main, and the North.  The balcony section of the arena will NOT be opened until the lower level has filled.

A professional photographer from ImaginLight will be on duty to take pictures of all graduating Seniors.  Picture packets will be given to students at the Senior Breakfast on Thursday, June 5.  Danny Runnels Video will video the graduation.  The video will be VHS or DVD and will cost $20 each.  Mr. Runnels will provide self-addressed envelopes with order forms for all students.

Young men are asked to wear dress slacks or dress jeans, a white shirt and a tie.  Shoes and socks must be worn with the gown and boys will not be allowed to walk with beards and/or “stubble.”  Young ladies are to wear dresses, dress shoes and/or dress sandals that compliment the gown.  Young ladies should not bring a purse with them.  Flip Flops, tennis shoes, and casual sandals are not allowed for girls or boys.

Seniors will wear hats with mortarboard flat.  There are to be no markings on the mortarboard.  Seniors will begin with the tassel on the left side and will move it to the right side when told to do so.  Boys will remove mortarboard during National Anthem, prayer and pledge; they will then replace mortarboard on head and fix tassel.  Girls do not remove hats.  No corsages on the gowns are allowed.

Reed Arena is situated on the west side of the University campus, just off George Bush Drive on the corner of Olsen and Kimbrough Boulevards.  Reed Arena’s parking can be accessed from Kimbrough Boulevard, Chandler Drive and Penberthy Street.

From Montgomery, take 105 West; turn right onto TX-105 West/TX-6 North; Merge onto TX-6 North via the ramp on the left. Take the TX-6 BR exit on the left toward College Station and merge onto Texas Avenue S/TX-6 BR. N.  Turn left on George Bush Drive/FM 2347 W and right on Olsen.  It is approximately 46 miles from Montgomery to Reed Arena.

Class of 2008 Project Graduation

They will be very tired when the party is over. Students do not need to bring anything with them. All bags/purses will be checked in at the door, then returned to students when they leave in the morning. Main Event provides unlimited bowling, laser tag, over 100 video games, billiards and shuffleboard, pizza, snack and continental breakfast buffets, music, and security. There will be prizes and a cash grab, plus additional entertainment.
