Lone Star Honor Flight for WW2 Veterans

About Lone Star Honor Flight

Lone Star Honor Flight is a Montgomery County community effort to send all WWII veterans to Washington, DC to see the WWII Memorial. Nationally, there are 3,000,000 survivors and we are losing them at the rate of 1,200 to 1,500 per day. Montgomery County is the home to 2,500 – 3,000 of these brave men and women. Time is of the essence.

The first Lone Star Honor Flight is scheduled for May. The veterans will be flown at no charge to Washington, DC where they will be taken by bus to the WWII Memorial and later to the Korean and Vietnam Memorials. In addition, with time permitting, they will attend the laying of a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Medical attention will be provided throughout the trip.
